Luke and Quintana met in 2010 on a hike up Mt. Bierstadt and Mt. Evans via the Sawtooth Ridge with a couple of mutual friends. They quickly found that their personalities were as compatible as their interest in outdoor adventures. They spent the next several years enjoying and challenging one another while mountain biking, snowboarding, hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking additional 14’ers. Eventually, they were able to make their own home in the mountains southwest of Denver in Conifer.
Luke proposed on Quintana’s birthday weekend in March 2014. True to her adventurous spirit, Quintana had wanted to spend the day wandering the woods and looking for spring antler sheds; Luke arranged for them to work their way up to a hilltop view of nearby Mt. Evans. When she turned around from taking pictures of the mountain, Luke was on one knee and immediately she was soaring with emotion.
They planned an outdoor fall mountain wedding to share their love for each other and their adventurous lifestyle with close family and friends in September 2015. Their favorite part of the wedding was the ceremony, a story of their relationship beautifully crafted and delivered by Keith Horstman, with meaningful contributions by some close family members. They couldn’t have imagined a more joyful beginning to our marriage!
Quintana was adamant about incorporating close family (including their double doodle, Tessy) and friends and local businesses into their wedding day. Her mother intricately designed and made her stunning wedding dress. The couple made all of their wedding decorations, which included hunting for pinecones and making picture frames out of them! Quintana made beautiful scarves for her bridesmaids as a thank you gift. Many of their vendors were local to the area Quintana and Luke call home in Conifer and close to the venue in Pine.
Thank you two so much for your friendship and for having us be a part of your incredible wedding day! Congratulations on the best adventure of your life!

Most of us could only dream of meeting our soul mate the way that Allison and Cristiano met. Picture meeting the person of your dreams while working on a cruise ship traveling the world. Yep, for real, it happened with these two! Mr. & Mrs. Chiappa’s wedding ceremony at Lower Lake Ranch was nothing short of a dream. Their love for each other (and all the beautiful Italian accents) made for such an amazing wedding day in Pine, Colorado. Thank you so much for having me be a part of your wonderful day!
Andi and Cory’s stunning Breckenridge wedding has us so giddy and excited! All of their wonderful DIY projects tied into their mountain wedding that was truly them. From having their fur-baby Oscar present for the whole day, to Andi’s cupcakes that she handmade for their big day, to their centerpieces that were memories of their Colorado hikes, and the gondola ride to their first look spot, everything truly shouted “MR. & MRS. GRAVES!” We are so honored we go to be a part of their wedding day and have developed a great friendship with them! Thank you two for having us be there with you as you said, “We do!”

When Carrie told me she wanted to do a bridal shoot for her and her husbands 8 year anniversary, I was so thrilled! Seeing a wife, mom, and friend in her wedding dress again is a surreal moment. Carrie and I chatted about how much life has changed in the last 8 years that she and Andy have been married. She’s now a mother of two amazing boys, Jack and Brooks, a runner, and a wonderful friend. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to spend the morning with this lovely lady!
So many times throughout your wedding day, you’ll stop for a second and recognize what’s going on around you and the vows you had just made. For Jeremy and Leslie, their wedding day was a union of families, two children, and moments of incredible emotion. We loved being a part of every second of their amazing and intimate wedding day in Pine, Colorado. Thank you two for having us be there with you two!

Things We Love :: Leslie wore her father’s wedding band the entire wedding day. • The union of families as Leslie became a mother to Alyson and Ethan. • Jeremy’s unstoppable joking and humor all day long. • Their daughter playing her cello during the ceremony. • The apple pie and ice cream, obviously.
Meeting awesome couples is one of the best parts of our job as wedding photographers, and Lisa and Tyler certainly set the bar for awesomeness! Their love and truly fun personalities shined on their beautiful wedding day as they were surrounded by their closest friends and family members at the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield. Every part of their day was given such thought and care. We are truly blessed to have spent their amazing evening celebrating with them! Thank you so much for having us be a part of your wedding day!

A relaxing Sunday afternoon wedding next to the Colorado River surrounded by the Rocky Mountains and close friends and family is a recipe for an incredible wedding! I’m not going to lie, Mike and I were so excited to return to the Double A Barn in Grand Lake for such an awesome couples big day! Abby and Daniel were surrounded by family and friends as they said “We do!” and started their journey through marriage. We are absolutely thrilled for the two of you and are so thankful we got to spend your amazing wedding day with you and your loved ones. We can’t wait to see where marriage takes you!

I strongly believe that one of the most emotional things a woman can go through is seeing a friend get married. There are so many emotions attached to that friendship and seeing their closest family and friends all together in one place is truly moving. Brittany and Trevor ironically met at a wedding years ago and Brittany, being a wedding planner herself, has planned tons of weddings for couples she loves and stuffed animals she adored as a child. Seeing these two at the alter brought me and many others to tears as it was the most sincere and emotional days a lot of us had been a part of. Mike and I deeply cherish these two as friends and business partners and are so thrilled and honored to have been a part of this incredible journey to marriage with them! We love you both so much and can’t wait to see where life takes you!

When a wedding day is absolutely flawless, it’s hard not to be on Cloud 9 all day long. Crystal was flawless. Rob was flawless. The weather was (unexpectedly) flawless. The venue was flawless. The schedule was flawless (there’s my photographer coming out!) The band flawlessly rocked everyone’s faces off all night. The guests were…well, you get it! They even had time to toast each other over a glass of champagne at their first look! We are so honored we got to be with Crystal and Rob as they said, “We do!” at Black Canyon Inn in Estes Park. Thank you so much, Mr. & Mrs. Bleecher, for having us be with you on your wedding day!

Sweet serendipity! Would you believe that Thao and Alan ironically met at a wedding nearly 6 years ago? Thao made the first move by asking Alan to dance with. She spent a good chunk of the night hitting on him in hopes that he would ask for her number. Unfortunately, Alan did not ask for her number that night. (For those who know Alan, he is quite the gentleman, and he did not want to give off the “Wedding Crasher” vibe.) Lucky for Thao, Their mutual friend and groomsmen, Gordon, suggested that they be Facebook friends after the wedding. From there, their love blossomed.
Their proposal story is one for the books! Alan is a bit of an admitted technophile, while Thao is not. For her 27th birthday, Alan mentioned that he wanted to get her a new phone. However, she adamantly told him not to get her a phone since he needed to save his money for other things *hint, hint*. Weeks prior to her birthday, much to her dismay, Alan watched Youtube videos comparing smartphones before bed. A couple nights after her birthday, she was cooking dinner when Alan came in and said that her birthday present had finally arrived. He asked if she wanted to open it and she exclaimed “Yes!” Alan told her to put her hands out and close her eyes. He placed a box in her hand and when she opened my eyes… she saw an iPhone box. She started to yell at Alan and told him to return the phone! Quick to think on his feet, Alan said that he couldn’t return the phone because he got a special engraving on it. He told her to open it because she would love the message on the phone. And there it was…a stunning shiny engagement ring! At that moment, Alan went down on his knees and proposed. She obviously said yes.
Crested Butte is Thao and Alan’s favorite mountain town in Colorado, and they try to make it out there at least once a year. So for their wedding they wanted to share this special place with their guests, since most of them have never made it up there before. Thao said, “As absurd as it may sound, there are only two events in which all of your close family and friends gather into one location for you…your wedding and your funeral…and only one of those events you get to enjoy! So we wanted to give them a reason to visit Crested Butte.”
One of the most memorable parts of their wedding was their ceremony. Alan’s dad was the officiant, and they worked with him to write the script. They each picked a poem/reading and wrote their own vows. They were able to put their personal touch on the ceremony, and said that they felt like it truly reflected their relationship. Also, the ceremony site had a breathtaking backdrop which added to heightened emotions, tears, and laughter!
We adore couples who are true to themselves, and they had opted for a s’mores bar instead of a cake. Thao and Alan had pictures of themselves roasting marshmallows and feeding each other s’mores! They told us, “This was another highlight of the day and our guests raved about it. No one missed the cake, and guests thought it was cute and fitting with our mountain wedding.”
That and Alan are like two peas in a pod. Their shared love of photography, hiking, and exploring the wonderful state of Colorado makes them one of the coolest couples around! Their stunning mountain wedding was nothing short of amazing and was filled with lots of family, friends, and even a hike in heels to their first look spot overlooking the Elk Mountain Range. We so adore this couple and are so honored we got to spend the day with you!
