“Luke arranged a surprise weekend trip to Asheville, North Carolina. We hiked to the top of a beautiful bluff in the Blue Ridge Mountains on Saturday morning. Unfortunately it was foggy and sprinkling all morning, but that just meant we had the mountain to ourselves when Luke got down on one knee. And they say rain is lucky for a marriage, right?!”

“Our first look was at one of our favorite spots in the Botanic Gardens, the moon gate. After the whirlwind of getting ready, we were excited to finally see each other and officially start the festivities. It was a very special moment because after over a year of planning, we were finally seeing each other on our wedding day and were about to be man and wife. When the first look moment finally came, Luke was speechless and Annie was radiant. It was everything we could have hoped it would be and set the stage for an incredible day and celebration.”

“It was one of the first places we visited together in Denver. We also wanted a beautiful and romantic place for our ceremony, which the Botanic Gardens certainly delivered!”

“We asked our friends and family to submit their favorite recipes and composed them into a cookbook which we used as our guest book at the wedding. We love to cook and eat good food, and thought having a few tried and true recipes from our favorite people would be a great way to start off our marriage. Also cake tasting was pretty great too!”

“It’s a tie between our first look and our ceremony. Both were perfect and more beautiful than we could have imagined. Third would be seeing our friends dancing with the big head photos of our cats faces that we made for our photo booth. They were a bigger hit than we were anticipating.”

“Beautiful. Our ceremony was at the romantic gardens in the Denver Botanical Gardens which is just a picturesque place to get married. The whole morning was overcast and rainy, but as we started our vows the sun came out and shined on us. As if our vows weren’t significant enough, this just seemed to frame and magnify them even more. We couldn’t have imagined a better ceremony.”

We were lucky to have our wedding over a 3-day weekend, and got all our friends together for hiking and then a brewery crawl the day after our wedding. With all the frenzy of the wedding day, its hard to talk with anyone for more than a few minutes. So having some extra time planned to catch up with friends and family is definitely worth it!”
