Meeting couples who click like Teal and Davin do is one of the most exciting parts of being wedding photographers. When we first met these two for coffee this winter, we immediately clicked with their fun personalities, hilarious bantering, and family stories they shared with us in a humorous light. Needless to say, their engagement shoot was equally as epic with a fun hike at Meyer Ranch in Conifer, Colorado to a memorial bench for Teal’s grandfather, sunset photos with their dog Syd and of course, a couple brewski’s to top off the evening. Hearing Teal and Davin’s story (especially his awesome proposal around the dinner table with family…see below!), has made us so incredibly excited for their wedding day this fall in Denver! Congratulations you two! Thank you so much for having us be on this journey with you!
Cheers,
Taylor and Mike
From the Bride :
- How did you two meet?
“Davin and I met through our mutual friend crystal. She is one of my best friends and was in grad school (MBA) with Davin. I went to watch a Broncos game with crystal and her school friends and met Davin. We bonded over our love for sports. After that I would always want to know when crystal was seeing her school friends so I could meet Davin again. After running into each other a few more times he finally asked for my phone number and we started dating.” - When did you know you wanted to marry each other?
“I think when Davin took a job in vail after finishing his MBA and I didn’t even question it – we went and got margaritas and tacos and made a plan to move together to vail. We were just always on the same page and got along well from day one.”
- How did Davin propose?
“Davin really wanted to surprise me with his proposal. So he waited until a family dinner when I would least suspect it and proposed while I was eating Brussel sprouts.” - What are you most excited about for your wedding day?
“We are most excited to have all of our friends and family we love together to celebrate and have an awesome dance party.” -
What is something fun you learned about each other during your wedding planning?
“I think our wedding planning has reinforced that we both like a good party, disagree on our tastes in music but are both willing to compromise, and the key to a good wedding is an open bar and a DJ named Dwight with a mustache.”
