We love winter weddings, especially when they’re in our backyard in the beautiful valley we live in at Mount Princeton Hot Springs! We were so excited for the opportunity to shoot at one of our favorite wedding venues in Colorado. This Mount Princeton Hot Springs Wedding took the cake for one of our coldest, most beautiful winter weddings. What’s more is that Chris and Kendall are two of the sweetest and relaxed folks we’ve had the pleasure of meeting and shooting. Mix a beautiful wintery wedding with a sincerely beautiful couple, and BAM! AWESOME wedding to cap our 2017 season off with! With college football playing during the reception, beautiful snow capped peaks, and tears of joy all day long, what’s not to love? We are so excited to share this Mount Princeton Winter Wedding with y’all today! How did the two of you meet?

“We met when Chris visited Stillwater for an OSU-Kansas basketball game. Chris came with two of my friends from high school and we spent the whole weekend together! We spent the next 6 months being friends before finally taking the plunge!”

Tell us about your first date!

“Our first date was a little different. It lasted for about 3 days. In order to go on a date, Chris had to drive to Stillwater (4 hours away). He obviously wasn’t going to drive that far just to go back, so he stayed for the weekend. Our date consisted of dinner with friends, a football game, and multiple walks on campus. We knew that spending that much time together on our first “date” was going to be telling, and it definitely was.”

How did Chris propose?

“Chris proposed on a getaway weekend while we were staying up in a cabin in the mountains. He knew I’d want to take a picture of us because the snow was so beautiful, so he waited until I asked to go outside and set my camera up. I walked back to step into the picture and he was down on one knee!”

What was the most fun part of planning your Mount Princeton Hot Springs wedding for you?

“Either the guest list or the dress shopping. Shopping for the dress was a great experience because I got to do it with my mom, my aunt, my cousin, my mother-in-law, and my sister-in-law. I ended up with the first dress I tried on, but I did try on many others first just to be sure. I also loved making the guest list because although it was difficult, it was so fun to make a list of all the people that bring us so much joy, we couldn’t celebrate without them.”

What are you most looking forward to in marriage?

“Growing together and becoming a family.”

If you could pick one word to describe your wedding ceremony, what would it be?

“Magical.”

How did you guys choose the hot springs resort for your Mount Princeton Hot Springs Wedding venue?

“Mount Princeton was somewhere that Chris and I had been with my family the previous Thanksgiving and we absolutely loved the views. Colorado is a special place for us, and we wanted the venue to show the best that Colorado had to offer.”

What was your most memorable moment from your Mount Princeton Hot Springs wedding day?

“It might honestly be when Chris and I sat down to eat dinner. It wasn’t the dinner (although it was fantastic) but instead it was our view of all of our guests. We were so grateful sitting back and looking at the people who spent their weekend traveling just to celebrate with us. We tried to take it all in, but this is why we’re thankful for such great photographers!”

What advice do you have for couples planning their wedding now?

“Enjoy the process. It can be frustrating and stressful but try to remember why you’re doing all of this planning! It’s because you get to marry the person of your dreams!”

Are you going on a honeymoon?

“We went to Costa Rica right after the wedding – it was paradise!”
