High school sweetheart weddings have such an incredible feeling! It’s all the warm and fuzzies. Cody and MacKenzie’s wedding day was nothing short of warm and fuzzies all day. These two met in high school but didn’t date until college. Their relationship has revolved around having wonderful adventures together and when Cody proposed, he did so surrounded by family and friends on a trip to Tennessee. Their love from family and friends was evident on their wedding day and such a heartwarming experience for us to be a part of! We are so thankful we had the honor of being a part of your wedding day you two! Congratulations!
Love,
Mike and Tay
How did the two of you meet? “We met our sophomore year in high school. We admired from afar but didn’t start dating until a year into college when we ran into each other again at an old friends house ”
When did you know you wanted to marry each other? “I knew right away that I wanted to marry Cody. It took him a couple of months until I had him convinced.”
How did Cody propose? “My whole family along with Cody all went to Nashville TN for my 21st birthday. Cody brought us to a riverwalk near the city and got down on one knee right there in front of everyone. It was perfect!!”
What is a fun quirk you love about the other? Cody : “She loves to sing.” MacKenzie : “His love and knowledge of cars.”
If you could pick one word to describe your ceremony what would it be? “One word to describe the ceremony would be perfect. It’s so amazing to see every bit and detail come together and just get to enjoy the moment of marrying your best friend.”
What advice do you have for couples planning their wedding now? “My advice would be two things. Number one, pick what you want! Planning a wedding often comes with a whole lot of input from the outsiders. Don’t let any of it affect how you view your day or what you want. It’s YOUR day! Second, I know its a lot easier said than done but enjoy every minute of it. Planning can be stressful and overwhelming but it goes by in the blink of an eye. Especially the wedding day, take every moment of it in and don’t be rushed to fit in the timeline.”
What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day? Cody : “Seeing my beautiful bride walk down the aisle.” MacKenzie : “Finally getting to see my man and getting to kiss him as my husband!”
