Imagine this: your guests taking one of the most scenic gondola rides we’ve ever experienced to the top of the mountain to Thunderhead Lodge…and we’ve attended nearly 400 weddings in our career. With 360º views, this ride to the top wedding venue was worth the drive from Denver alone. It was around 20-minutes to get to the top of the mountain, ears popping and all. When we stepped off the gondola, the temperature had dropped about 10º, which trust us, you’ll love in the heat of the Colorado summer! We were immediately giddy with the photo opportunities that were abound! If we went left, photo opportunity. If we went straight, photo opportunity! And if we went right or behind us…you get the picture. From aspen groves to huge mountain views, this venue did not disappoint. This perfect day was accompanied by unbelievably perfect fall weather, changing leaves, and one of the most unforgettable sunsets to boot.
