From the first time we met Jen and Ryan, we had a hunch about them. Their laid back and completely in love demeanor immediately made us feel as if we had all been friends for years! They invited us to be on their journey to marriage with them from the first time we met them and it’s been such a beautiful love to be a part of. Every detail of their wedding day at Villa Parker was absolutely perfect and directly reflected them as a beautiful couple. After 6 years of being together, needless to say, these two were ready to tie the knot! Jen and Ryan, thank you so much for having us be a part of this amazing and intimate time with you two! Ryan + Jen’s First Look Interview

What are your thoughts about your experience with the first look?

I loved doing a first look, it was great time to spend with my future husband before the big moment. It put me at ease and was a great break from the craziness of getting ready with the girls.

How do you feel it changed, if at all, your walk down the aisle?

It made me feel more confident. Ryan already knew what I looked like and just to hear him say I was beautiful before I walked down the aisle was comforting.

Did your family conflict with your decision to do a first look?

My mom was apprehensive at first, but with a little convincing, especially with our time crunch for photos, she was okay with our decision.

What made it special?

Being able to spend some quality time with Ryan before the whirlwind of the wedding was so nice.

Do you feel it made a difference in your photos?

I think so, we looked really calm and relaxed.

If you had to do it all over again, would you?

Yes! We would do a first look if we had to do it all over again. I would change the people who watched it. I was hoping for some alone time, but with a crowd I was more nervous and didn’t get that great moment alone. It was great however, to get that time in before the wedding, and it made photos after the wedding way less stressful. With our situation, we would not have been able to take the photos we had if we waited till after (all the people every where!).

What was the single most memorable moment of your first look?

Ryan coming around the corner, he looked so handsome and happy, it was a great way to start off the celebration!
